Course Syllabi

Currently, I have not obtained syllabi for courses offered the year before Old Dominion University started its doctoral program (Fall 2005 – Summer 2006). As I stated in the explanation of my methodology, I believe having this data will be important in gauging whether implementation of a New Media and Professional Writing PhD track increased the potential for composing new media projects. Additionally, I have not yet met my stated goal of collecting at least two-thirds of the course syllabi for each semester during the selected time period (Fall 2005 – Spring 2008). Once that data collection and analysis is complete, it still is important to recognize that this research may not be generalizable beyond the Old Dominion University English Department doctoral program. However, it should surface issues and generate future research questions that can be examined in a broader context.
